Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire resides in a uninhabited area of Montreal Island called West Island. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of communities. For those who haven't heard of it often confuse it with a separate, west-facing island. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often cited, however her short visit to the West Island wasn't. Brugel was raised on Courtice just outside Oshawa within Ontario. Early ambitions were to become an expert dancer. However, a growth increase caused her to surpass her dance partners she had. Over the last 20 years, her work has been seen on both the small and large screen. Her work gained most recognition when she landed her part as Rita in the acclaimed television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was only seen on a few occasions in the first season of the series The Handmaid's tale. The only Canadian actor.
